Physics Escape Room (part 1)

Updated: Aug 28, 2019

I created an escape room based around physics - I called it Escape LAB 4! The goal of the game is to defuse a bomb and to guess which physicist has trapped you there. Follow the guide below to create your own escape experience.

(1) Once the participants step into the lab, they watch this video.

(2) Guess the culprit - clip the pegs onto 5 profiles.

(3) Find a notes from Marie Curie that says, "... walking around our shed with the fairy lights in our coat pockets."

(4) Find 5 test tubes in a lab coat. Place them in the rack, accordingly, to reveal a color sequence.

(5) Unlock box 1 using this color sequence to reveal the first elimination card and a battery.

Find the lab manual. Read it carefully!

(6) Hold down all 4 switches at each corner of the lab bench. This completes the circuit.

(7) The circuit's current heats up the wire hidden beneath the heat sensitive paper. It reveals the word "zero" - first digit of a 4-digit code.

(8) The tip of the magic wand is magnetic - point and scan the Ouija board. "Yes" attracts. "No" repels. The digit "3" also attracts!

(9) How many bulbs light up? From a tray containing filament bulbs and fluorescent bulbs, use the plasma globe to figure out only 4 light up.

(10) How many 'invisible' marbles are in the beaker? The final of the 4-digit code is 7. The 4-digit code unlocks a box that contains a plumb line.
